Overview
What this programme is
The Education Scholarship Scheme is the Trust's longest-running programme and rests on a simple belief: talent is everywhere, but opportunity is not. Each year we identify academically committed students whose families cannot meet the cost of schooling, and remove that barrier.
Beyond tuition, every scholar is paired with a trained mentor, receives learning materials, and joins a peer network that has become one of Olokoro's most enduring communities of ambition. We follow each scholar through to graduation and first employment.
What you receive

Eligibility
Who can apply
These are the criteria we check. They are the same rules the portal uses when it tells you whether you are eligible — there is only one set of them.
You live in Olokoro or a neighbouring community in Umuahia South, Umuahia North or Ikwuano.
You are between 15 and 30 years old.
You are enrolled in, or have been admitted to, an accredited secondary or tertiary institution.
If you do not meet a criterion you can still apply, but your application is likely to be unsuccessful. Sign in and complete your profile to see where you stand before you start.

How to apply
Step by step
- 1Create an account and verify your email address.
- 2Complete your profile — this is what we check your eligibility against.
- 3Fill in the application form, saving as you go. You can return to it at any time before the deadline.
- 4Upload the documents listed above.
- 5Review your answers and submit. You will receive a reference number by email.
- 6We screen applications, then shortlisted applicants are invited to a short interview.
- 7Decisions are usually recorded within eight weeks of the window closing.

Frequently asked
- Can I apply if I have not yet received my admission letter?
- Yes. Apply with your results, and upload the admission letter when it arrives. We will ask you for it if we need it.
- Can I hold another scholarship at the same time?
- Yes, but you must tell us about it in your application. We may adjust the award so that support is shared fairly.
